Origami Boxes Are So Easy And Fun To Create. Try These With Matching Cards For A great Gift Idea.

I love these little Origami boxes and really enjoy making them. I've tried all sorts of papers to make tiny ones or larger ones, and find that because you need nothing other than a square piece of paper, you can make them anywhere.

Children enjoy making them and they are a wonderful recepticle for little treasures. They also make a nice little gift box for chocolates, jewellery or any other light weight item.

I chose to house some note cards in this box, and used Pretty in Pink, Mellow Moss and Whisper White card stock

I've used the Rock'n'Roll technique and "Wishing You The Best" stamp set from Stampin' Up on the the cards. The background has been stamped with the "Canvas" background stamp to give a little texture to the image.

I used Mellow Moss and Pretty in Pink Ink.

A little hint when doing Rock'n'Roll. Make sure you always use the LIGHTER coloured ink first and roll onto the darker of your two inks.

Once printed, the images were punched out with the 1 and 3/8 " circle punch, matted onto some white card punched with the scallop punch (notice how very well these two punched images fit together) and adhered with some dimensionals to give a bit of height. The ribbon is White Taffeta and the Faux Stitching is done free hand with the White Gel Pen.

Here they are with the co-ordinating Origami Box. I made a little gift tag to go on the box too.
