Community Service Events Raise Funds For Those In Need And Provide A Great Day Out For Crafters.Amongst other community service events, I want to be able to provide opportunities to raise money for Breast Cancer Research, and it is wonderful that Stampin Up, where I am an Independent Demonstrator, willingly assists in this area. I feel that life has been good to me, but know many who have suffered major setbacks. Each year in conjunction with World Card Making Day in October, I have a full day camp of card making. It is always fun, lots of interesting cards are made, there are prizes for participants, plus auctions and challenges. The day includes lunch, morning and afternoon tea. Everyone is welcome, so if you live in or near Canberra, consider joining me this October and do your part for Breast Cancer Research. There will be times when other opportunities to help in the community arise. One event that shocked and saddened the Australian nation was the devastating Bush Fires in Victoria in February 2009.
