Correction on Price of Designer Series Papers In 2009-2010 Catalogue
Sorry about the mis-information posted previously, and I hope that it doesn't cause any grief with your customers. It seems that SU have either again listened to what the local demos are saying or there really was a misprint about DS Papers going up to $19.95 a pack.
The corrected price will be $16.95 a pack I know this will be a relief to those who have a lot of customers who buy DS Papers as they become more attractive the lower the price.
Who is going to have a NEW CATALOGUE LAUNCH? I am planning a quick one for Friday night 3rd April for my customers. (You are all welcome to attend if you want to get some ideas, or just join in the fun)
I've been doing a bit of reading on advertising lately, and the latest view is that people are getting immune to email advertising as there is just so much of it. Perhaps we need to add back some "snail mail" advertising to personalize our businesses a little more. Hence for this function I'll be sending out invitations that require an RSVP, to my customers. I'll keep an eye on the response vs email and let you know.
How are the RETIREMENT SALES GOING? I'm doing OK so far but still need a big workshop to reach my target. I hope the workshop on next Friday is a big one!! If you have a target you'd like to reach, don't be afraid to call past hostesses or customers to organize a party - the worst they can do is say "no" and you may just get lucky.
A final update here - I've just re-organized the ddStampers posts so that you can view all of them via the ddStampers News Button on the Navigation Bar on the home page. Just remember the access code up to January is ddStampers08 and from March ddStampers09
Hello to all the lovely ladies in the "distINKtive designs" Team.
By now we'll all be in the swing of the Retirement List Sales.
I hope you are all having some success with this. I've found not too many workshops happening but plenty of email orders coming in. It might be an idea to email your customer list and remind them that:
INK PADS have a price increase in the 2009 catalogue. They will rise from $9.95 to $11.95. Encourage your customers to get the colours on their wish list before March 31, so they can avoid some or all of the price rise.
DESIGNER SERIES PAPERS will have a massive increase from $11.95 to $19.95. I know this seems unreasonable, but we have been getting these papers all year at a discounted price because a mistake was made in the price in the I.B&C. It should have been $16.95 all year, but SU honoured the mistake to our benefit. However, I have just spent more than a few dollars stocking up on the DS Papers I really like. I checked the US catalogue, and I don't think too many of them will be back in our new catalogue - maybe some of papers from the Mini???
Anyway that is a good enough reason to contact your customer list and let them know.
And for the first time in Australia, some of the retiring stamp sets have been discounted by 25% - send an email and point them out. If you want a catalogue link to give them you can use the one on my website:

SAB CHALLENGE WINNERS
I'm pleased to announce the winners of the distINKtive designs team Sale-a-bration challenges.
Highest Sales totals for January and February = Chantal Fleming with over $4,000.00 in sales. Fantastic job Chantal - you are a selling machine!
Most Recruits = Shelley Starkis with 1 recruit. I'm so glad you've broken that barrier now Shell, the next few get easier.
Congratulations to both of you girls. Please email me with the name of your choice of stamp set.
I received a wonderful email this evening from the office of Shelli Gardner (co-founder of Stampin Up). I decided to enter one of my SAB and Aboriginal cards into one of her creative challenges, and I WON the first week. How cool! You can all have a go at the challenges-just google So Shelli and the blog will come up, then click on the "creative challenges on the RHS of the blog. Shelli always gives a free stamp set to the winners that she chooses - It was hard for me to choose, as I have just about all that I want, but hey, a free set is always good.
If you buy the Australian Stamping and Papercraft Magazine, you should keep an eye open for another card from this series that will be published in the Readers Gallery. It should be coming in the next couple of months.
CANBERRA CRAFT AND QUILT FAIR - I've had some correspondence from the organizers of the show and feel somewhat excited and somewhat apprehensive about trying to participate. What do each of you think about participating?
It would be fantastic exposure with thousands of "qualified prospects" passing by each day. We can do classes to help off set the costs, and the costs of a booth include all advertising etc.
The dates for this year are August 6 - 9.
I really need to know if we as a group want to give this a go, so I can decide between that and going to the USA for a high school reunion!.
The cost is about $2.500.00 for the 4 days - it would need to be shared amongst those who want to participate, and of course all leads would be evenly distributed amongst those who participate.
LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT TO BE INVOLVED WITH THIS PROJECT and LET ME KNOW IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE INVOLVED. Either way I need an answer so that I know you have not missed my question. No need for anyone to feel pressured about participating, but please know you will be most welcome to participate as you are part of the team even if you are not in my first level down- line
Let me know by the end of March please.
Good luck to you all for the rest of the month - hope your workshops are fun, your sales are ginormous and you each get 2 recruits (just kidding)
