Welcome To The "distINKtive designs" Team Home Page For All Your Rubber Stamping Information.
22/6/08
As promised here is the link to that scrapbook site - have a go - it is great fun.
What do you think of my page? Find it under my blog entry for 22/06/08. I really have no idea what I am doing with scrapping so all comments will be welcome.

12/6/08. We have a new member!.
A very big welcome to Frances Choikee from Theodore.
Frances has been talking about joining the group for ages, and now she has taken the plunge. She is a very talented crafter and I am sure will be a valuable addition to the group.
How are those cards going for the card challenge? Don't forget to participate if you can possibly find the time.
Some of you may be interested in a site I recently found. They do a step by step scrap page over a week - that means one complete page per week. I have started the challenge today, so I will let you know how it goes. I will put the link on this page later, but for now it is on my home page.
Hello to all my wonderful
"distINKtive designs" team members - Karin, Melissa, Sue, Shelley, Frances and Chantal.
I bet a few of you did not even know that we had our very own team name.
Up until now I did not see much reason to advertise the fact as each of you were getting used to the whole Stampin' Up! life style.
Now that the team is growing (and I plan to continue this trend so that we have a vibrant group of stampers who can assist each other in many ways) I felt it timely to post this section of my web site.
You will notice that this is an exclusive "distINKtive designs" Team Members only section and that you need a password to enter. I have emailed each of you individually with the password -it should be pretty easy to remember! It is case sensitive so don't forget the capital S.
I am a first level demonstrator with Stampin Up being my up-line. When I became a Supervisor I was able to choose a team name. I played around with lots of different cutesy names, but they just weren't "me". Eventually "distINKtive designs" came to mind - it covers lots of different styles and therefore will be appropriate for all my recruits and their down-liners too. All my downlines, and their downlines will belong to this group. That means all your recruits will automatically belong, so if you are recruiting, please remember to advise me. I would love to welcome all new members personally.
What in this section, will be different to the rest of the web site?
This section is for us.
I will post workshops that I find really successful. You are most welcome to use them if they work for you.
Technique classes with little hints on how to make things work well.
Card Sketch Challenges- this should provide each of us a great resource of ideas using either a particular rubber stamp set, or sketch idea.
Scrap Page layouts. Scrapping is a hugely untapped source of sales and recruits for us, so we should not ignore them. Stampin' Up occasionally posts layout ideas that are simple and effective, so we will try to add a few more!
I plan on having some regular sections for you to look at. They will be:-
Stamp Set of the Month.
Technique of the Month.
Team Challenges
If you have a web site or blog that you would like me to link to or advertise on my site, just let me know. I am slowly getting people looking at the site, and if I can help anyone else build traffic that will be good.
Here is a peek at what I have been doing this weekend. I decided I need to "get published" so I have taken the huge step of submitting some of my work to a craft magazine. It is quite a confronting thing to do. Will they like it? Is my work good enough? and lots of other self doubting thoughts entered my mind. But... I emailed the cards off today. Have to admit I took a deep breath and looked at my "Dream Big" brooch from the Stampin' Up! Convention this year, before I pressed the "send" button.
Anyway here is a sneak peek. I used the "Crayon Resist" method on Glossy White and sponged the ink rather than using a brayer. I used a mask on a couple of them too.

Now for your first challenge... It will be a colour challenge so everyone can enter it.
Make a floral card using Really Rust, Not Quite Navy and So Saffron.
Email your entries to me by June 30th.
Label them "distINKtive designs" challenge entry. I will post them on this page so everyone can see, and the winner will go on the main web-site. There will be a prize of Stampin' Up product for the winner - so join the fun and enter.
